Brett Hillyard aka “Hilly” is a Southern California Native from San Clemente. Hilly received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from USC, after which he worked as a clothing designer, merchandiser, graphic designer, artist, and photographer. Hilly is a freelance documentary and advertising photographer known for capturing black and white candid photographs. Influenced by the works of Henri Cartier- Bresson and Elliot Erwitt. Hilly shoots and processes his own film and finds a genuine richness in the analog process. Hilly's favorite analog cameras include the Leica M6 (35mm), Mamiya 7II (120 film), and the Graflex Super D (4x5 sheet film). All of the Black and White photographs in the analog menu were processed by Hilly. The ocean plays a big role in his life both as a surfer and open water swimmer.
